Find out more about Tennis Breaks

Tennis Breaks has been running tennis holidays in Europe and the UK since 1997. We have been pleased to welcome back many guests year after year.

I attended the Majorca tennis camps in October and May as an intermediate club level player. The Tennis breaks provided the right mix of short break and tennis coaching and training. The timings and Island location are perfect for hot sunny tennis and beach time activities.

The organisation provides a clear plan but enough flexibility to allow one to tailor the holiday to their own schedules. The accommodation is great value for money and well located.

As regular customers tennis break participants enjoy warm, friendly and above the call of duty service. The coaching with Lee and Seb is attentive, focused and challenging. Both provided a great mix of drills that was fun and helped introduce a few new elements to my game.

Having been on few of Paul Bartons Tennis Breaks Holidays, namely, Portugal Vale de Lobo, Austria Wolfgangasee and the glorious sunshine isle of Majorca, where such a legend as Nadal learnt his trade. One thing you won't be on a Tennis Breaks Holiday is bored....

Typically for example on the Majorcan holiday, the lovely self service breakfast is served from 8am so there's plenty of time for the tennis session at 10am, which is a short walk from the excellent "boutique" style hotel. On the way to the court's, take in the glourious views of the cove and coastline which make Santa Ponsa such a special resort. The tennis coaching and play is very special also. Hosted by the excellent Lee Wakefield and his sidekick Sebas, whose claim to fame amongst other things was beating Nadal no less...

The tennis and coaching is excellent, with both coaches showing great interest and enthusiasm with time for individual tips and pointers, to make the experience that much more beneficial and personal.

After tennis, for me a trip to the beach and a swim was de rigeur, followed by lunch at one of the restaurants overlooking the bay, where the lunch special could behad for a very reasonable 10 euros.

After some more tennis late afternoon, it's back to the hotel, to wind down and get ready for the evening, whether that be a night out at the local bars and restaurants, or a trip to the capital Palma for some early evening sightseeing, eating and socialising.

All in all, the whole experience is a special one and a holiday not to be forgotten, with many friends and good times to be made along the way...

Many Thanks Tennis Breaks.

I have been to the tennis break at Santa Ponsa twice and loved every moment. It is well-organised. Plenty of time is allocated for good-quality, fun tennis coaching sessions (two 2-hour sessions daily) on clay courts in a nice club with scenic surroundings, close to the hotel. The lessons are well-structured but relaxed.

The hotel is a cosy boutique hotel which serves a decent breakfast. There are plenty of restaurants nearby serving a variety of cuisines, especially of course seafood. The beach is close by and it is nice to have a dip in the sea or a cool drink on the beach between the tennis sessions. Dinner is with the group and it is a great atmosphere in the evenings. There is a trip to Palma (a lovely town) on the last evening and that is always fun.

I highly recommend this trip. It is well worth the money and is a great way to spend the end of the week. I will definitely be going again.

Paul's tennis break in Majorca is one of the first things that goes in my diary for the new year. Playing tennis in beautiful weather, with beach time and great food between coaching sessions, can't be beat. The tennis centre is excellent and the friendly coaches will get the best out of you in a performance or mid-paced group. The coaching technique is so effective that the good habits I pick-up stay with me for the rest of the season. And with an always mixed and interesting group, the apres-tennis is fun too.

I have just come back from a Tennis Breaks trip to La Manga, Murcia, Southern Spain. Lovely bunch of people, great coaching and excellent facilities. If you enjoy playing tennis in the sun with a group of like-minded people, then I'd highly recommend Tennis Breaks!

Just a note to say how much I enjoyed the tennis holidays this year. Vale do Lobo was a great combination of sun and tennis and I’m sure the intense daily sessions have improved my backhand. The indoor tennis weekend was great too and we didn't have to rely on the weather. I am looking forward to the next one.
